Join our Troop!
Troop 241is Bluffton's oldest Troop! We have been blessed with an outstanding group of adult leaders. This Troop has a lot of fun and some great adventures! Like most Scouting America Troops, we are a boy lead Troop. Cub Scouts (Elementary kiddos) is very family-centered and Leader driven. Troop Scouts (Middle & High school), the scouts will plan, organize, and execute the yearly schedule and goals. The leaders are merely guides, mentors, and supervisors. The Troop has elected teen leaders and patrols based on age and/or grade. If you are interested in joining our Troop, we would love to have you! Experiences
Canoeing, Kayaking, Climbing, Fishing, Hiking, and most importantly lots and lots of Camping, Troop 241 is the place to be to experience the great outdoors.
Mentorship
Mentoring Scouts is not doing things for them, it’s clearing the way, inspiring and enabling them to do things for themselves.
Leadership
Being a boy lead troop involves a very important integration of leadership positions allowing the troop to progress as well as the boy serving in each capacity as they make decisions. They learn, make mistakes and are coached when appropriate by the Assistant Scoutmaster’s as well as the Scoutmaster.
Friendship
Scouts BSA is the traditional Scouting experience for youth in the fifth grade through high school. Scouting has a way of developing friendships that last for a lifetime. They are friendships that are built on fun times, challenging times and rewarding times.

The Scouts have been cleaning and organizing all their camping gear. Most of this gear is from when the troop started in the early 80’s! It has been well used and needs to be replaced. Our fundraising has been very limited over the past few years, which has limited the resources of this Troop. In an effort to keep the scouting experience affordable, an Amazon Wishlist was created. 100% of items on this list will be maintained and used by the current and future scouts of Troop 241. Your contribution will be well taken care of and help scouts for years to come. Thank you for your consideration.
